Ex-Liverpool captain, Steven Gerrard, has said his former team can defeat the Real Madrid team in the Champions League final, if both sides play each other.
Real qualified, after holding Bayern Munich to a 2-2 draw at home on Tuesday, following the 2-1 win at the Allianz Arena last week.
“It was desperate at times tonight. Real were hanging on and they were all over the place at the back.
“Bayern will have regrets because they were dominant and looked like the far better team for me. You look at the Liverpool team and where they are strong and they can really hurt this Real Madrid team,” Gerrard told BT Sport.
Liverpool are also on the verge of qualifying for the final, as they go into the second leg of their semi-final against Roma with a 5-2 advantage.
