It is a friendly, but I don’t think it would be a friendly game because both teams are battle ready – Raheem Sterling
Manchester City star, Raheem Sterling, has said that the upcoming friendly match between England and Nigeria at Wembley on June 2, 2018 would not be perceived as the usual friendly matches any team in the world plays.
The England forward stated that when the Three Lions face Gernot Rohr’s men this Saturday it wont be business as usual because both sides are formidable opponents and highly physical.
“I probably got more ticket requests than I have had in any game at Wembley, that’s for sure,” Sterling told Extratimesoccerlive
“I think we got a great physical team but I know for the fact that the Nigerian team will be as physical as us and technical as us but it’s going to be a game of the day.
“It is a friendly but I don’t think it would be a friendly game because both teams are really going to get prepared and be ready.”
England coach, Gareth Southgate and Super Eagles manager, Gernot Rohr are using the friendly game to prepare their teams for next month’s World Cup in Russia.
