8-year-old pure water hawker arrested for hawking to get free ticket to Disney

An eight-year-old girl who was to be arrested for hawking bottled water has been offer free tickets to her dream land, Disney World.

According to a tweet posted by her cousin, Raj, with Twitter handle @_ethiopiangold, the young girl had taken to hawking water at AT&T Park stadium in San Francisco, California, near where they live. The idea was for her to be able to raise enough money to visit Disneyland.

However, things went out of hand after a white woman, Alison Ettel, CEO of weed dispensary Treatwell Tinctures, called the police on the eight-year-old Ethiopian girl for selling water without permit. (Ettel’s company, Treatwell Tinctures, sells marijuana treats for dogs)

Meanwhile, the girl’s cousin, Raj, was amazed at Ettel’s action and she posted the video of the incident online.

Her story changed when the video of the episode became viral, a local musician, one Jonathon Brannon @BrannonMusic, came across it and bought the girl four tickets to Disneyland.

“We are so grateful,” Raj tweeted back in appreciation.

Ettel’s action was met with vitriolic trolls on Twitter, as many people condemned her action, while others did memes with her headshots on bottles of water.

Ettel had explanations for her action, as she tweets, “Guys, please stop with the negative comments and messages. I wasn’t trying to hurt anyone.

“As a business woman myself, I will always strive to encourage female entrepreneurship. But as business-minded individual, I cannot respect anyone that violates the law.

“Age does not justify breaking the law. If we allowed anyone to do whatever they wished, then what (sic) would lead to a slippery slope and would be an attack to our democracy.”

Meanwhile, the mother of the eight-year-old girl has promised to press charges against Ettel for harassment.
