Owner of World’s Ugliest Dog gets $1,500 as her pet wins award
An English bulldog who has muscular, rounded front legs and an underbite has been crowned the World’s Ugliest Dog.
Zsa Zsa, the nine-year-old bulldog, was named the winner of the 2018 World’s Ugliest Dog contest at the Sonoma-Marin Fairgrounds in Petaluma, San Francisco Bay Area on Saturday.
According to her biography, she was found through a pet-finding site by owner Megan Brainard, from Minnesota.
Ms Brainard will now receive $1,500 for Zsa Zsa’s win.
The annual competition, which helps organisers publicise the many pets available for adoption, allows owners to flaunt the imperfections of their dogs.
Some of this year’s contestants had hairless bodies, others had lolling tongues.
