The ring leader of a dare-devil robbery gang operating within Lagos and Ogun states, ‘Pastor’ Fidelis Nelson popularly known as MP, who was recently arrested by police has said in his confession that his major reason for going into robbery was for him to gather funds to start his own church.
The 41-year-old suspect self-styled pastor, who masterminded several robbery operations, revealed that he and members of his gang carried out three robbery operations recently and “actually snatched three cars last month.”
However, the robbery gang met their ordeal on June 16, after the Police received information indicating that some robbers, who specialised in snatching cars in Ogun State, were bringing their loots to Lagos for sale, then laid ambush for them.
Nelson, who is a father of three during interrogation that, “I have a pastoral calling; unfortunately I don’t have money to start my church. I have had the calling for years, but no finance to make it a reality.”
