Boko Haram: looting food supplies and burning houses in Chibok
Boko Haram terrorists have attacked Goptari, a village 10 kilometers away from Chibok community in Borno state, Punch reports. The attack, residents said, occurred at 8 pm on Thursday, October 18.
On Thursday, at 8pm, Goptari, 12 kilometers away from Chibok community in Borno state was attacked by Boko Haram terrorists.
According to Punch news, a resident said some group of Boko Haram terrorists invaded the community, set houses on fire after looting food supplies and livestock.
“They attacked the village around 8:00 pm (1900 GMT), firing heavy guns which made people flee into the bush,”he said
The Nigerian army spokes man Sani Usman said 13 soldiers were wounded in the attack and some soldiers were missing after the attack that made troops withdraw from the gun battle between the Nigeria army and the terrorists.
Buratai said all the terrorists have been driven into the Lake Chad Basin areas by the Nigerian military. He also said that most attacks witnessed in the country were carried out by insurgents from this region.
